Skincare Routine: Morning vs. Nighttime

February 21, 2023 2 min read

When it comes to creating a successful skincare routine, what we do during the morning is just as important as the nighttime. But why exactly is this dual-disciplinary approach to skincare so important? At Blended Skin, we recognize the need to understand the delicate balance to establishing a proper skincare routine and have some tips on what you should do during morning and nighttime when it comes to skincare.

In the morning, it’s very important to start the day with a clean face. Make sure you are thoroughly and gently washing it with a mild, non-irritating cleanser. You should also use a toner to balance any pH differences in your skin or to help rid the skin of any impurities left behind after cleansing. After that, you should use a serum to hydrate your skin and to help lock in the moisture. Finally, you should use a daily moisturizer so that you are protecting your skin from environmental stresses and pollutants.

By night, your skincare routine should start off similarly to the morning one – wash, tone and serum – but then, you should apply a heavier night cream to help nourish, hydrate and restore your skin while you sleep. You should also look into options to exfoliate two to three times per week to help remove dead skin cells. This will help restore overall glow, as well as reduce bacteria build-up.

At Blended, we understand the importance of a good skincare routine in order to keep your skin looking refreshed and maintained. Make sure to treat your skin twice a day – morning and night – for the most optimal results. A consistent and disciplined skincare routine can help to minimize the effects of aging and keep your skin looking young and healthy. Supported by committed staff and knowledgeable skincare professionals, our medspa can help you create the skincare routine that works best for you and your skin.
