Prevent, treat, and overcome teenage acne.

Teens might feel embarrassed talking about their acne, but it’s totally normal! As we know, acne can be a real confidence killer, especially as a teenager. During our teen years, our hormones are constantly changing and being naturally more active as adolescents, our skin tends to release more oil on a regular basis. This production of sebum results in clogged pores, creating breakouts. Whether acne is on your face, neck, shoulders, chest, or back, it can be difficult to get rid of.

When acne forms, it can come on quickly and last years. If your parents had acne when they were younger, unfortunately it’s likely you’ll end up developing blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, or cysts. Occasionally people outgrow acne as they leave their teens, however, for others it might continue into their adult life.

Acne that shows up in visible spots like your cheeks, forehead, or jawline, are very common and very treatable, it just takes a little motivation and dedication. It’s fun to try new products and play around with different routines, but as someone prone to acne, it’s important to have an evaluation from a professional who wants to get you looking and feeling flawless in your own skin! Book a consultation with one of our Acne Specialists to get ahead of teenage acne.
